Visitors to Misery Bay Provincial Park this coming season will have a unique opportunity to view a one of a kind collection of pictures.
Sabine Huege and Marcel Beneteau who are both members of Friends of Misery Bay (FOMB) and the Manitoulin Nature Club have donated the results of a 15 year journey showing their interest, passion and commitment.
In that time they explored many of the roads and trails on Manitoulin Island and captured images of over 800 different flowers found on the Island. Pictures have been catalogued in 15 binders with the name and location of each picture.
They have graciously donated this entire collection to Misery Bay Provincial Park (Ontario Parks) through FOMB to be displayed at the Visitor Centre where visitors can view them.
Whatever your interest level in flowers this is a must see display, depicting flowers of all colours, flowers without leaves, carnivorous flowers , flowers that are a bit spooky looking and many more.
The good news is that Sabine and Marcel are not done yet, as they believe there are many flowers still to be found and photographed.
A fully interactive display of the "Trail Map & Hotspots" slide show presented on a touch screen activated display.
