Alexandria Cosby & Genevieve Kleefisch

University of Guelph PhD candidate Alexandria Cosby and  MAs student Genevieve Kleefisch join us for a presentation all about the bats of Ontario!


Alexandria, Genevieve, and a team of students from the University of Guelph's Department of Integrative Biology in Guelph, Ontario, have spent over two years researching and documenting bats and bat behavior - specifically that of the little brown bat - all over the Manitoulin Island area. Come learn about the fascinating bats of Ontario!

DR PATRICIA CHOW-FRASER

McMaster biologist Dr Patricia Chow-Fraser joins us for an educational presentation about the impacts of science and community stewardship working together to help protect endangered Ontario freshwater turtles.


Dr Chow-Fraser and her team of students from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, focus on assessing the ecosystem health of wetlands in the Great Lakes, particularly those in eastern and northern Georgian Bay and the North Channel.

KIDS' CRAFTING DAYS!

Bring your child for a drop-in crafting session at our Interpretive Centre!

Running every-other Monday starting July 6th, our Kids' Crafting Days will focus on creating fun, sustainable, and educational crafts.

Experience the trails of Misery Bay with one of our nature-enthused staff members! Learn all about the natural history of the park, and the amazing flora and fauna that call it home.
